Their popular shooter Team Fortress 2 (2007) was one of the first existing games to be updated with Oculus Rift support. Valve has been an early supporter of Oculus VR and virtual reality. Here’s a detailed guide to get it working. The update enables Oculus Rift DK2 support for Half-Life 2 and the Steam Big Picture mode. Thanks all for the great advice, hopefully someone else will have the same problem and can look here for an easy solution.Today Valve has released an update for SteamVR, the virtual reality mode for the popular game distribution service. Sorry for being such a clutz and not noticing it before I posted. I found a small power supply plug-in on the back of my card, and once I gave it some juice, it works perfectly now. I never would have noticed it really, if the power supply weren't brought up in previous posts. I guess since this is one of the newer video cards, and its been so long since i actually bought something new, I did some inspecting with the card. I'll see what happens in about 15 minutes. My case right how has 3 fans along with one attached to the side panel. Just in case though, i set up a fan right next to my case to blow some cold air into my computer. No problem there, at least it didn't feel warm or anything to me. Sorry for the delayed reply, I bought my power supply off of, its a PowMax 450watt suppy with blue/red LED Fan. If any more info is needed, I'll be checking the site often and post as quickly as possible. I have no idea what else there is to do, so I'm hoping that someone here could please have an answer. None of those options were able to solve my problem. My current resolution is set at 1024x768, with a 100 hertz refresh rate. (3x) I also read a page about monitor refresh rates. I've tried uninstalling my video drivers and reinstalling them. With my World of Warcraft, I'm able to play for about 10 minutes before my computer decides to reboot on me, and I have no idea on how to fix this either. I've read on other websites with people having the same error, but no advice on how to fix it. After that, my monitor totally blacks and and goes into standby mode, with no way to come back out. When trying to run Half Life 2, I make it all the way to the selection screen, where you select to "Play Game, Load Game, etc." After selecting Play Game, I get the Half Life 2 logo, and make it about 25 seconds into the intro-movie. (Geforce 6600GT)Īfter all that was done, I decided to install some games. I installed all the drivers/apps that came with the new computer and d/l'ed new video drivers for my card. I have just recently bought a new computer, and everything seems to be up and running just fine.
